Your Perfect Wedding Venue in Bath
Situated on Lansdown, with magnificent views over the city, Kingswood makes an ideal private setting for a wedding. Unlike many other places in Bath, you have exclusive use of the venue for your special day, enabling you to make Kingswood your own. Whether you would like a sophisticated gathering with first-class food, fine wines, and the perfect period setting, or a celebration with all your friends, we have a range of different venues to suit your taste and pocket. Both Summerhill Mansion and the Dining Hall fit the bill if a venue full of character and history is what you seek, while the more modern setting of the Pavilion offers the flexibility of a smaller gathering or a larger event in a marquee on the grounds around the Pavilion.
Unique and Beautiful Wedding Locations
Our most popular venue is the pretty Georgian house tucked away at the end of Sion Place in Lansdown. The setting is completely private and one of Bath’s best-kept secrets. The sweeping driveway leads to the steps of the mansion where you will step out onto the front lawns, greeted by your friends and family. Canapés and drinks can be served on the lawn, which boasts breathtaking views over Bath, the perfect setting for your photographs.
The reception room can accommodate up to 100 guests for a formal wedding breakfast with the option of using either the reception room or the upper gallery for dancing.
The Dining Hall
For a larger gathering this beautiful Gothic hall with wood paneling and stained glass windows makes a majestic setting for any event and has a real sense of history, reminiscent of ‘Hogwarts’, with refectory tables and seating, with a small stage.
Arrive in style after the ceremony and make use of either the front of our picturesque school or the breathtaking views over Bath as the backdrop for your photographs. Drinks and canapés can be served on the front lawns before making your way through to the Dining Hall for the wedding breakfast.
The hall seats up to 160 people with a stage for a band or disco and plenty of room for dancing the night away.
The Kingswood Pavilion can accommodate up to 60 guests for a smaller, more intimate wedding reception in the event room, or, for an evening celebration, the venue is perfect for gatherings of 150 guests with a purpose-built bar and verandah overlooking the School’s pristine grass sports facilities.
The sports fields around the Pavilion also makes an ideal location for a larger marquee wedding, with services available from the Pavilion. What better way to celebrate your special day, ensuring that no guest needs to be missed off the list, due to the venue size! You decide on the size, carpet colour, lighting and the style of marquee and we will work with you and our preferred marquee supplier to ensure that your special day exceeds your expectations.
